Privacy Policy
Ledgery is designed as a private personal finance ledger. The app does not require a Ledgery account and does not store your financial data on a Ledgery-operated server.
Information Ledgery Handles
Ledgery lets you enter and manage financial records such as transactions, merchants, categories, budgets, refunds, savings goals, notes, tags, and related ledger settings. This information is created by you and is used to provide the app's core features.
Where Your Data Is Stored
Your Ledgery data is stored locally on your device. If you choose to use iCloud sharing or shared accounts, Apple iCloud and CloudKit may store and sync that data through your own Apple account and the Apple accounts of people you choose to share with.
Ledgery does not operate a separate backend server for storing your financial records.
Currency Conversion
Ledgery may use an external currency conversion service to retrieve exchange-rate information. Currency conversion requests are limited to the currency information needed to calculate exchange rates. Your ledger records are not sent to Ledgery for storage.
Data Collection and Tracking
Ledgery does not collect data for tracking and does not track you across apps or websites owned by other companies. Ledgery does not sell your data.
iCloud Sharing
If you enable sharing features, shared ledger data is handled through Apple's iCloud and CloudKit services. Sharing is controlled by you and the Apple accounts you invite. Apple's own privacy terms apply to iCloud and CloudKit processing.
Files You Export or Import
If you export CSV or other files from Ledgery, those files are created at your request and are controlled by you. If you import a file, Ledgery uses that file to create or update local app data.
Data Deletion
You can delete records inside the app. You can also remove local Ledgery data by deleting the app from your device. If you use iCloud sharing, you may also need to manage shared records or iCloud data through the app, iCloud settings, or the Apple accounts involved in sharing.
Children's Privacy
Ledgery is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to This Policy
This policy may be updated as Ledgery changes. When it changes, the effective date above will be updated.
